| Job Description: |
The Corporate Executive is a Senior Officer whom will set vision, direction and future safety goals within our organization. This Senior Officer will be ultimately responsible for all aspects of the Safety Division.
Responsibilities include:
* An Industry Leader in the area of Construction Safety.
* Serve as the company expert and chief safety liaison within the field of environmental health & safety when called upon to address regulatory agency compliance issues, third party safety & liability consultants and representatives.
* Follow the LEEDS Model for Organizational Structure.
* Develop's and leads in Safety Department's strategic planning and development.
* Partner with the Safety team to ensure project Safety standards in conformance with specifications.
* Enhance strategic development safety needs for the organization.
* As appropriate, representing Tishman on professional safety organizations and with regulatory agencies.
* Maintains close relationship with local and federal governmental regulatory agencies, such as OSHA, NYCDOB, NYFD, etc.
* Conducts periodic Safety and Client meetings to review progress and discuss Safety changes to project suggested by Client or recommended by Employer.
* Submittal of monthly reports in accordance with the Safety goals as well as corporate policy and procedures.
* Set the direction and tone for the organization's future safety development.
* Monitor health and safety legislation and trends to identify emerging issues that may affect Tishman’s ongoing operations.
* Networking with internal and external organizations to identify and implement best practices for Tishman’s Safety programs that go beyond compliance.
* Author loss control/risk management-related white papers and publications.
* A Certified Safety Professional designation (CSP).
Requirements:
* Knowledge of company and department policies and procedures.
* Analyze Corporate Safety policies and procedures to resolve existing or potential problems.
* Excellent management and organizational skills including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and determine the priority of assignments based on deadlines that must be met.
* Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Must have strong interpersonal and influencing skills needed to communicate with the variety of Senior Management.
* Recognition in the industry as a leader within certain sectors of the Safety development and construction Safety field.
* Demonstrated skill in supervision and personnel leadership.
* Superior writing and analytical skills.
* Construction experience and knowledge of industry jargon and industry trade agreements is required.
* Thorough knowledge of all phases of Safety construction operations relating to all disciplines.
* Minimum of ten years of related construction Safety experience.
* Willingness to travel up to 30%.
* Master's degree or superior Safety experience to ensure knowledge of Safety is required.
